Robert L. Reeves

(1942 – 2016)

Robert L. Reeves was the founder and Managing Attorney of Reeves Immigration Law Group, APLC.  Mr. Reeves opened his own law office with the goal of providing superior legal services to the immigrant community. Over the years his small business grew into the leading immigration firm in the United States.

Mr. Reeves was an extremely talented immigration attorney. From 2006 to 2015, he was voted by his peers as one of America’s most respected immigration lawyers, with recognition from Southern California Super Lawyers, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times and Los Angeles Magazine.  Many of Mr. Reeves’ successful cases were cited in legal textbooks that serve as a guide to other immigration practitioners.  His successful results were also published in various nationally recognized immigration trade journals read by both private attorneys and government officers, including Interpreter Releases, Immigration Briefings, and American Immigration Lawyers Association Monthly.  In addition, Mr. Reeves also served as a distinguished radio and television commentator and lectured on various immigration-related topics, such as immigrants’ rights and federal court proceedings involving the USCIS.

Mr. Reeves was widely praised for his professional accomplishments. He received the Leadership Award in Immigration from the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, The City Council of Carson Award for Championing the Cause of World War II Veterans of the Philippines for Citizenship, and 13 awards from the New York City Police Commissioner’s Office for Exemplary and Extraordinary Actions while serving as a New York City Police Officer.

A native of Connecticut, Mr. Reeves served in the U.S. Army for three years and worked as a New York City Police Officer for 10 years prior to earning his law degree from Pepperdine University in 1979.

Mr. Reeves tragically passed away in 2016.  Though he is missed by many, he is hardly forgotten.  He has left behind a thriving law firm capable of continuing his life’s work – helping immigrants and their families to lawfully live and work in the U.S.
