Professional Experience

Ben Loveman is a Partner in Reeves Immigration Law Group’s San Francisco office. He is certified by the State Bar of California as a Specialist in Immigration & Nationality Law. Ben is a member of the firm’s Family Reunification, Deportation Defense and Business Immigration departments and a frequent contributor to the RMZD’s weekly column concerning the latest developments in immigration law. Mr. Loveman takes pride in handling tough cases and in developing creative and effective strategies to help clients meet their immigration goals.

Ben is seasoned immigration advocate with a wide range of practice experience. His areas of expertise include Deportation Defense, Cancelation of Removal, Asylum, Appeals, Federal Litigation, Criminal Immigration issues, Waivers for misrepresentation or crimes, Permanent Residency, Family based Immigration, immigrant and non-immigrant employment based immigration, investor visas (EB-5 and E), non-immigrant visas, and Citizenship. He has successfully represented numerous clients before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, in Mandamus and Habeas petitions filed with Federal District Courts, the Board of Immigration Appeals, United States Citizenship and Immigration Services as well as in immigration courts across the country.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Loveman was an immigration attorney in private practice representing clients in a range of immigration matters including family-based and employment based applications for adjustment of status, Labor Certification Applications (PERM), extraordinary ability petitions, spousal and fiancé petitions, removal proceedings, asylum, humanitarian parole, applications for waivers of inadmissibility based on fraud or criminal grounds and, nonimmigrant visas with an emphasis on H-1B , L-1, and investor visas.

Education

Ben Loveman graduated with a Juris Doctorate and certificate in International and Comparative Law from the University of San Francisco, Koret School of Law in 2006 and has been practicing immigration law since graduation. Before that, he earned a Bachelors Degree in Political Science from the University of California, Davis in 2003.

Admissions

He was admitted to the California State Bar in 2006. He is admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of California and the California Supreme Court. Mr. Loveman is an active member of American Immigration Lawyer’s Association.
