Professional Experience

Attorney Geoff Lamoureux joined Reeves Immigration Law Group in 2018 as an Associate Attorney in the Pasadena office.  He has successfully represented his clients before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services in a wide variety of immigration cases, including both family-based and employment-based matters.  Attorney Lamoureux’ family-based cases have included adjustment of status based on marriage and other familial relationships, naturalization, waivers of inadmissibility, ‘U’ visas for victims of criminal activity, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), etc.  Attorney Lamoureux’ employment-based cases have included EB-1 Petitions for Multinational Managers or Executives, EB-2 Petitions for foreign nationals with an advanced degree or of exceptional ability, H-1B Petitions, TN Petitions for Canadian and Mexican citizens, L-1 Visas, etc.  In addition, Attorney Lamoureux has also assisted his clients in obtaining temporary lawful status in the U.S. based on their investment (E-2).

Attorney Lamoureux also represents clients in the Immigration Courts throughout the United States and before the Board of Immigration Appeals. He has successfully represented clients in obtaining Cancellation of Removal for Permanent and Non-Permanent Residents, Adjustment to Permanent Resident Status, Waivers of Inadmissibility, and Asylum, Withholding of Removal and protection under the Convention Against Torture.  Attorney Lamoureux has also represented clients before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and at U.S. Embassies throughout the world.

Education

Attorney Lamoureux earned a Bachelor’s Degree with Honors from Queen’s University, Canada in 2003.  He earned his law degree from the University of London (QMUL) in 2006, and thereafter received master-of-laws degrees from Loyola Law School Los Angeles in 2007 and from the University of Southern California School of Law in 2008.  Attorney Lamoureux also has a certificate in transnational law from Duke Law School.

Admissions And Memberships

Attorney Lamoureux was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2009.  He is licensed to practice law before the Supreme Court of California, the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He is also a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the Los Angeles Country Bar Association.
