E. Ivan Infante

Professional Experience

Mr. Infante represents clients in all areas of immigration law. He has been a member of the State Bar of California since 1994. Prior to joining the firm in April of 2022, Mr. Infante practiced immigration law for many years. He has experience working with the Los Angeles immigration court having litigated many cases of asylum and other types of removal defense. Mr. Infante has represented clients in a variety of other matters, including personal injury, criminal defense, and real estate transactions. Originally from Spain, Mr. Infante holds dual citizenship and is fluent in Spanish.

Mr. Infante has successfully represented clients before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services on a variety of immigration cases, including family-based and employment-based applications for permanent resident status, naturalizations, waivers of inadmissibility, humanitarian parole, humanitarian reinstatement, joint petitions to remove the conditions on residency, removal of conditions on residency based on extreme hardship and a good-faith marriage, fiancé(e) petitions, abused spouse petitions, asylum, cancellation of removal, extreme hardship waivers, 237(a)(1)(H), VAWA, detention bonds, and other immigrant and nonimmigrant visa applications. He appears regularly before the Los Angeles Immigration Court, U.S. federal courts, U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS), U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE), and U.S. Customs & Border Patrol (CBP).

Education

Mr. Infante earned his Juris Doctor from University of Houston Law Center, graduating in the top ten percent of his class. While in law school, Mr. Infante worked on an international program centered in Mexico City. He spent several months in Mexico working with the United States Embassy on a variety of political matters, including the drafting of the NAFTA treaty.

Mr. Infante graduated from the University of Texas Plan II honors program, a specialized field of study for a limited number of scholarship students.
