Sara N. Cross
Sara N. Cross joined Reeves Immigration Law Group as an Associate Attorney in the Pasadena office in 2018. She represents clients before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, at all stages of removal proceedings before the Immigration Courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals, and during consular processing for immigrant and non-immigrant visas. Ms. Cross represents clients in all areas of immigration law, with a focus on humanitarian and family-based petitions. She has considerable experience obtaining waivers of inadmissibility based on extreme hardship to a qualifying relative, abused spouse petitions, asylum, and cancellation of removal for permanent and non-permanent residents.
Prior to joining Reeves Immigration Law Group, Ms. Cross worked as an Associate Attorney in New York City. She successfully represented clients in complicated social group asylum cases, including young women subjected to gang violence in Central America. Her passion for Immigration Law was her central motivation in pursuing a legal career.
Education
Ms. Cross earned her Bachelor’s degree from The College of New Rochelle, where she graduated magna cum laude. She obtained her Juris Doctor degree from St. John’s University School of Law in 2009. During law school, she served as the Associate Managing Editor for the New York International Law Review, participated in the Refugee and Immigration Rights Clinic, was a law intern at Catholic Charities Immigration and Refugee Services, and completed a visiting semester at The University of Hong Kong School of Law in conjunction with Duke University School of Law.
Admissions
Ms. Cross was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2010. She served on the New York City Bar Association’s Immigration and Nationality Law Committee from 2010 until 2012. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
