Kim Luu-Ng recently joined Marc Knapper, the United States’ ambassador to Vietnam, for a roundtable discussion with female Vietnamese entrepreneurs on October 31, 2023. The event, hosted by University of Southern California’s Center for Public Diplomacy, offered an opportunity for the Ambassador to discuss the types of entrepreneurship the Vietnamese-American community is engaged in, opportunities for foreign trade with Vietnam, and challenges faced by Vietnamese-American-owned businesses. The conversation also touched on what the ambassador can do both in Hanoi and in Washington to help further economic, cultural, educational, and other ties.
Kim had the opportunity to discuss the deep ties between the Vietnamese diaspora in the U.S. and Vietnam, and various immigration issues concerning Vietnamese nationals, their families, and their businesses.
