New U.S. Visa Application Center Opens in Metro Manila

On September 28, 2024, the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines is opening a new Visa Application Center (VAC) in Parañaque City, Metro Manila.

The VAC is run by a contractor for fingerprint and photo collection. The facility will help collect documents for delivery to the U.S. Embassy and passports for interview waiver cases.

Applicants will make an appointment and visit the VAC to have fingerprints and a digital photograph taken before making a separate appointment for their interview at the U.S. Embassy. Please note that VAC appointment and Embassy interview appointment are separate appointments but could happen on the same day also, in some cases.

What Should I Bring to My Appointment?

1. Passport valid for travel to the United States at least six months beyond the intended period of stay.
2. Printed DS-160 confirmation page.
3. Printed appointment confirmation page.
4. If you have a child under the age of five years applying for a visa, they do not need to come to the VAC, but you must bring a photo of them.
