On February 17, 2023, the Supreme Court canceled the March 1st arguments over the Trump-era policy commonly referred to as Title 42. The cancellation comes a week after the Department of Justice’s request to do so. The argument was to be heard from Republican attorneys who sought intervention from the Supreme Court over Biden administration’s recent reversal of the immigration policy.
The Supreme Court did not provide the reasoning behind the cancellation and whether it will be rescheduled. However, it is believed that oral arguments were canceled due to the Biden administration’s previous announcement that they will end the Title 42 program on May 11.
