U.S. Border Patrol to Monitor Northern Canadian Border

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has recently increased its agents on the Northern Canadian border in response to the influx of migration. Mexican migrants have reportedly been arriving legally by air to Canada in order to cross illegally at the border. Effective March 6, 2023, 25 new agents have been transferred from the Southern border to the Northern.

The focused efforts will be on the Swanton Sector which has experienced an 846 percent increase from October 2022 to January 2023 in comparison to the previous year.
