Key Changes to be Aware of in the December 2025 Visa Bulletin

The U.S. Department of State recently released their December 2025 Visa Bulletin, which provides information about the visa application process, including dates for filing and final action dates. For more information, be sure to read the full bulletin on the State Department’s website. We’ve outlined some of the key changes below:

  • The December 2025 “Dates for Filing of Employment-Based Visa Applications” chart does not appear to have any changes from last month’s bulletin, with the exception of the following categories:
    • Certain Religious Workers: All countries advance from unauthorized to February 15, 2021.
    • EB-5: All countries remain unchanged, with the exception of China, which advances by three weeks.
  • The December 2025 “Final Action Dates for Employment-Based Preference Cases” chart shows several countries in the following categories advancing slightly compared to last month’s bulletin:
    • EB-1: All countries remain unchanged, with the exception of China and India, which each advance by one month.
    • EB-2: All countries advance by two months, with the exception of China, which advances by two months, and India, which advances by six weeks.
    • EB-3: All countries advanced by two weeks, with the exception of China and India, which each advance by one month.
    • Certain Religious Workers: All countries advance from unauthorized to September 1, 2020.
    • EB-5: All countries remain unchanged, with the exception of China, which advances by seven months, and India, which advances by five months.
