Devin Connolly Opines on Social Media Vetting of Visa Applicants in New York Post’s Article

Devin Connolly was recently featured in the New York Post’s article “Trump admin pauses all student visas, considers vetting new applicants’ social media,” where he opined on the increased review of visa applicant’s online presence as tensions continue to rise over the admission of international students.

In the article, Atty. Connolly explains that social media examination has traditionally been used in marriage visa applications, so this is not out of the ordinary. He tells the New York Post, “The administration, and especially Secretary Rubio, has been very clear that nobody is entitled to a visa and that they will not be issuing visas to foreign nationals whose beliefs and activities are contrary to the United States’ national interests.”
