Attorney Maridex E. Abraham joined Reeves Immigration Law Group as an Associate Attorney in the Pasadena office in July 2018.

In 2015, Ms. Abraham moved from the Midwest to California to live out her passion to serve immigrant families and individuals. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as an immigration attorney throughout the Greater Los Angeles area, where she gained experience handling family-based, humanitarian, and employment-based immigration matters. Ms. Abraham has made numerous appearances before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service based on applications for asylum, adjustment of status, naturalization, etc. She has also represented clients in bond and removal proceedings before the Executive Office for Immigration Review. Ms. Abraham has experience obtaining waivers of inadmissibility for unlawful presence, misrepresentation and criminal grounds, as well as relief for victims of crimes and abused spouses. She has secured favorable decisions from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service, the Administrative Appeals Office and the Board of Immigration Appeals. She has also filed several successful motions with the USCIS and Immigration Courts, thereby allowing her clients to pursue new applications in their immigration case.

Ms. Abraham attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Arts and certificate in Asian American Studies. She thereafter earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of St. Thomas School of Law in Minneapolis, Minnesota. While in her second year of law school, Ms. Abraham served as Representative and Secretary of University of St. Thomas School of Law Student Government and was an active member of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association. During her third and final year of law school, she was a Law Clerk for a reputable employment-based immigration law firm in the Twin Cities. Ms. Abraham’s contributions resulted in the successful filing of many H-1B petitions.
